What makes Brueggers a better bagel?

Baked all day, Bruegger's Bagels are formed from fresh dough (never frozen) and kettle boiled - put in boiling water - before they're baked. And we bake 'em on a stone-hearth; not on a rack so they bake evenly. That gives them that authentic crusty (almost crunchy) crust on the outside and a dense, chewy texture on the inside that is so satisfying to sink your teeth into.

Our guests enjoy these premium products in clean, cheerful, intelligent surroundings. They also enjoy doing business with a company that maintains the deepest respect for our customers, our guests, and our environment. This is our mission. And judging from our track record - this is what we do.

Bruegger's cream cheese is made from a secret recipe. Our proprietary manufacturing process in the renowned dairy states of Vermont and Wisconsin provides the freshest cream cheese available starting with, what else, the cream. What's more, you won't find a smoother, creamier cream cheese anywhere. Whether you have some of our cool, Bruegger's cream cheese spread onto a warm Bruegger's Bagel on the way to work, or take home a container with your next dozen bagels, you know you'll be experiencing only the very best.

We refer to cream cheese as "Direct Set" which describes the method by which our cream cheese is made. Ours is never cooked, which allows us to have freshness in every bite - chunks of hand-chopped vegetables in our Garden Veggie, pure honey and crunchy walnuts in our Honey walnut, and bits of berries in our Strawberry.

Bruegger's Bagels was built on a foundation of community involvement. We are always looking for ways to give a little back to the neighborhoods that make San Diego special. As a company that prides itself in local and community involvement, we are always looking for innovative ways to help those in need.

Our current donation policy is as follows: Bruegger's will donate a matching amount of bagels to those that are purchased. Recipients must be affiliated with a non-profit organization and the bagels are not intended for resale.

Requests must be made two weeks prior to the event. Request forms must be filled out entirely for consideration. Cream Cheese is not included, but may be purchased.
